2 questions. The bag opener drains to the ground. The name of the game of course is to allow independence and freedom in as many situations and places as possible. Any ideas on how this could be implemented indoors, etc at work? any ideas on how to get the fluid to a toilet level, let's say? Thanks for the opportunity for feedback.

Wow thanks for the demonstration. That looks awesome. My sister has been in a chair for twenty five years and this will be life changing. We found a supplier in Australia, have ordered one and she can't wait to enjoy the freedom it will bring.
Thank you so much for sharing that Luc.

Hi Kyle,
I am not familiar with your product, but it sounds very similar to the device I have. I don't know if you watched our video yet where I demo the electric leg bag emptier I have, but you can find it in our Videos section. It might help you with deciding whether the unit from Richardson Products would work for you. http://www.disabledandproductive.com/2010/01/06/video-on-using-an-electric-leg-bag-emptier/
Good luck with finding a replacement!

I agree with the poster's comment that an electric light that drainer is one of the best investments I've ever made to become truly independent and not have somebody have to empty my leg bag for me, even though it's very simple. But just this evening, the valve that opens and closes it mysteriously started to drip all over my house which has forced me to close the valve on the leg bag itself which makes the electric leg bag during their useless. I got mine through Craig Hospital but I don't think they continue to make them. It was a silver box and then a black box that you connected your catheter tubing to it and it came with a toggle switch that you would just press one way or the other and it would open up the valve. The actual box clamps onto the leg of the chair, and then is connected to the battery and you can place the toggle switch anywhere within reach. As a C. 4, it's very hard sometimes to reach but I definitely need to replace it, has anybody ever seen this device or no where to find one?

Rory, that's a great question, and I'm actually not sure, though I imagine so. I'd recommend giving Richardson Products a call at 888.928.7297, or email them at RPI@RICHARDSONPRODUCTS.COM - I'm sure they'd be happy to be able to answer any specific questions like that. I'd hate to tell you "yes" if it can't work with other batteries.

Hi there.
Seems like great system. I'm in a manual chair. Can the system be conected to a battery other than a power chair's battery?
